From July 3 to 6, the 4th China Tibet "Cross-Himalaya" International Cooperation Forum, hosted by the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region and undertaken by the People's Government of Nyingchi City, was grandly held in Lulang Town, Nyingchi City.
Indira Rana, Deputy Speaker of the Nepali House of Representatives, Khin Maungi, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of Myanmar, Hanif, Acting Minister of Economy of the Afghan Interim Government, Taraka Balasuriya, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, former President of the Nepalese Federal Council and President of the Nepal Cultural Center attended the event.
Qin Boyong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region, attended the event and delivered speeches.
Qin Boyong pointed out that since the launch of the "Circum-Himalayan" International Cooperation Forum in China's Tibet, China has strengthened cooperation with all participating parties with the goal of safeguarding the pure land of the "Roof of the World" and protecting the Earth, the common home of mankind. It has carried out extensive international cooperation in improving ecological and environmental governance, promoting green development, and deepening mutual learning among civilizations, promoting high-quality development with high-level ecological and environmental protection.
This forum continued the theme of "Harmonious coexistence between man and nature and sharing the results of development cooperation", focusing on "Implementing the Nyingchi Initiative and promoting development through ecology", and attracted representatives from more than 20 countries and regions to gather together for in-depth discussions and exchanges on ecological protection, cultural protection, tourism development, plateau-specific agriculture and animal husbandry, and progress in traditional medicine.
